How to Connect Logitech Wireless Keyboard
Generally, wireless keyboards such as those produced by Logitech, work by simply plugging a separate adapter to the computer. The adapter houses the Bluetooth receiver for the entire unit which then is being read by the computer it is connected into.
The first thing you need to do is to install the battery into the wireless keyboard. Some wireless keyboard comes pre-installed with a battery, and if this is the case, then you can skip this step. Some wireless keyboards come with an additional wireless mouse. If you happen to have purchased a wireless keyboard and mouse bundle, then make sure that the batteries are correctly installed.
As mentioned earlier, most wireless keyboards come with a receiving adapter that is responsible for picking up the Bluetooth signal emitted by the actual wireless keyboard. Plug in the receiving adapter into the USB port of the computer. If in case, you are equipped with a wireless USB extender, make sure to insert the extender into the USB port before inserting the wireless receiving adapter from the wireless keyboard. You should follow the steps we have mentioned so that you will not face any problems with pairing or connection once you are about to use the unit.
After plugging in the wireless receiving adapter, the computer should be able to detect the new connection in the device. Once the computer has detected the wireless receiver, a prompted dialog should appear on your desktop screen. Click on “Confirm” and then select “Connect.” Doing this will give the computer the idea that the administrator or the one using the network permits the establishment of the new device being connected.
The next step is to turn on the keyboard. You can do this by switching the on/off button on the unit. Depending on the model of the wireless keyboard, this button may appear on the front or the back side of the group.
Switching on the unit will immediately signal and trigger pairing with the receiving adapter which is plugged in the USB port of the computer. Wait for the process to finish. After the pairing process is done, the machine will automatically install the necessary drivers from the Logitech wireless keyboard. This will take a couple of minutes, depending on the model of the wireless keyboard in use. If the screen shows a dialogue box that the pairing is done, you can now start testing the wireless keyboard if the connection was successful. Type in a few words if the screen corresponds or responds to what you are typing.
While the steps mentioned above are relatively easy and straightforward to follow, there are some instances wherein the wireless keyboard fails to connect properly with the computer it is paired with. Most of the time, users may experiences errors such as keyboard not detected or typing issues with the wireless keyboard used. With that being said, you don’t have to worry since the solution to these common problems is simple and straightforward. Here are some troubleshooting tips you can try in case you face any of these issues.

You can unplug, and replug the receiving adapter as well as remove and reinstall the batteries from both the unit and the receiver.

Aside from problems arising from the hardware components of the wireless keyboard and receiver, the problem may stem from missing or outdated drivers installed on the computer. Errors resulting from the drivers can lead to faulty pairing or connection. With these, you need to make sure that the drivers are updated and working correctly.
With this, you can do a manual update of the drivers by navigating through Logitech’s website. Look for any updates of the appropriate drivers and then install the update.
